Tropical Climate

Hawaii boasts a Warm Tropical Climate all year long.

Average temperatures along the coast ranging from the mid 70’s to mid 80’s. Driving inland and to higher elevations will bring lower temperatures and can be quite cool. Remember to pack a jacket as you will want to visit some of these areas as well.

Topography and average rainfall is also vary varied. The Kailua-Kona area (where our condo is located) offers fairly consistent dry weather with a few rain showers. The coast to the North is even more dry, and the landscape more barren. The east side of the Island (Hilo side) has much more rain and therefor much greener with lush gardens and waterfalls. I enjoy seeing the diversity this island has to offer

Although the busiest time to visit Hawaii is over the holidays, and summer months, there is no real bad time to visit Hawaii. Most of the activities you will want to do here are outside and the weather is usually perfect to enjoy them. That might include water activities like swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, boat trips, or whale and dolphins watching, or land based activities such as visiting one of the many area attractions. Whatever your interests you will find something to interest you here.
